PEX Fittings
Application
Superior chemical and environmental stress crack resistance
IPS sizes 1/2" to 1" for use at temperatures up to and including 90°C.
Pressure rating varies to sizes of Fittings at various temperatures as per table given below
Highly resistant to most acids, bases, salts, aliphatic solutions, oxidants, and halogens.
Ideally suited for potable water plumbing applications
Scope
Outlined specification ASTM 2447 (Dimensions only). This Fitting is
intended for use in applications where the fluid conveyed does not
exceed 90°C.
PEX Materials
The material used in the manufacture of the Fittings shall be
domestically produced High Density Polyethylene with cross link agent
(catalyst) and UV Stabilizer.
Principal material used is PE, of Reliance Industries Ltd.
Dimensions
PEX Fittings shall be manufactured in strict accordance to the
requirements of ASTM D 2447 (Dimensions only) for physical dimensions
and tolerances. Fitment (Threaded) as per BSP STD. Each production run
of fitting manufactured in compliance to this standard, shall also meet
or exceed the test requirements for materials, workmanship, hydrostatic
pressure, density, temperature test, tensile strength etc.
